Project Director

The organisation

A main contractor with a Dubai project that needs a director on it, not another layer of reporting. The person will own programme, commercial, client and the site team.

The work

• Own the programme, the critical path and the recovery plan if it slips.
• Hold commercial: cost, variations, claims and the monthly valuation.
• Lead the site team, packages and the interface with the client and consultant.
• Keep HSE and quality where they have to be, not as a slide.
• Report to the operations director without hiding bad news.

Who we are looking for

• A project director or senior project manager who has handed over comparable work in the UAE.
• Used to main-contract conditions, not only a client's PMO.
• Calm with a difficult programme and a loud client.
• All nationalities. Arabic is useful.
