The organisation

A UAE energy group with operating assets and a capital programme. Procurement here is not a back-office function. In-country value, vendor performance and the speed of award all sit with this role.

The work

• Set category strategy across operations and projects, with a clear local-content plan.
• Lead tendering, evaluation and award on material contracts.
• Hold vendor performance, claims and the commercial relationship after award.
• Work with legal, finance and operations so awards move, and hold, to policy.
• Build the procurement team and the reporting the executive needs.

Who we are looking for

• UAE National.
• A decade or more in procurement, with energy, utilities or heavy industry in the UAE.
• Used to ICV scoring, government shareholders and long-cycle contracts.
• Able to lead a team and still sit in a negotiation.
